 Is the booking time the delivery time or event time? 

Time input refers to delivery time, it’s important to allow for set up time before you event start time.

 

What do catering packages include in addition to food & drinks?

 

  • Morning Coffee Break  
  • Afternoon Coffee Break  
  • Breakfast Buffet  
  • Buffet (Lunch/Dinner) 
  • Set Menu (Lunch/Dinner) 
  • Canapes Reception  

 

These are inclusive of wait staff, tables, chairs, cutlery & any other requirements needed for a successful event. They do not include any AV requirements, room dressing or flowers.  

It’s important to stipulate in the notes section if any of the inclusive options are not required I.E., tables & chairs.  

 

How does delivery work?

All catering will be delivered directly to all approved venues listed in the on-demand catering portal. If there are any specific notes relevant for the catering delivery team to be aware of, please specify them in the notes section when booking.  

 

Is outside catering allowed?  

All catering requirements within COP28 need to be provided via the COP28 Catering Portal. Staff are permitted to bring their own meals in for their breaks. Food samples are permitted, providing they comply with the COP28 UAE Food Sampling Guidelines. 

 

Can I provide my own water bottle supply external to the Catering Portal?   

All water box orders need to be ordered through the Catering Portal; this is to maintain the sustainability alignment of COP28.  

 

Can I customize the menu?  

If you have a specific cultural requirement, please contact our team via our website in the “Contact Us” section and a member of our team will reach out to you.  

 

Can I make changes to confirmed orders?  

Once an order has been confirmed, we cannot make alterations to numbers or timings. If you require increased catering numbers, we recommend placing a separate order to accommodate the additional numbers.  

 

Can I place an order if my site is not listed on the portal?  

If your Pavilion is not listed on the portal or your stand is situated within a Pavilion, please reach out to our sales team via our website in the “Contact Us” section and a member of our team will reach out to you.  

 

Can I order a coffee machine for green zone: 

Unfortunately, coffee machines via the Catering Portal are only available for offices within the Blue Zone. You are welcome to provide your own machines in the Green Zone. Please speak to your account manager to ensure you have the power provision for this.  

 

What does “Butler Service” entail?  

The butler serves as a dedicated and permanent staff member responsible for managing the client's pantry. Their duties include maintaining pantry cleanliness, providing hot and cold beverage services, managing water service, handling goods orders, and more. The butler operates on a 9-hour shift, plus a 1hr meal break.  

 

Is alcohol permitted in the Green Zone? 

Alcohol cannot be booked for Hubs in the Green Zone due to local regulations. 

 

What cards are excepted for portal payment?

The online portal payment system is” Stripe”. Stripe supports the following payment methods in the UAE:

 

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
